CV Screen is recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to join a fantastic organisation based just outside of Alfreton in Derbyshire. The role is purely office based and a salary of up to £28,000 is available.
ROLE DETAILS
The role will be supporting the Finance Manager in completing the day-to-day tasks within the Accounts Department. Your focus will be on (but will not be limited to) the Purchase Ledger aspects of the Finance function.
COMPANY DETAILS:
You will join a join a well-established, profitable, and friendly organisation who employ over 250 staff. The company operate within the construction sector and have a turnover in excess of £100mn.
DUTIES INCLUDE
- Processing Supplier invoices onto Sage 50 and coding them to the correct nominal code.
- Matching Supplier invoices to the purchase order, liaising with Suppliers to resolve any disputes.
- Preparing the Supplier payment run ready for the Accounts Manager to process, including sending remittances following payment.
- Completing monthly VAT audits on Suppliers to ensure the Company is compliant with VAT regulations.
REQUIRED SKILLS
The Accounts Assistant will have most of the following experience:
- Previous experience as a Finance Assistant, Accounts Assistant or Assistant Accountant
- AAT qualifications would be desirable.
- Knowledge of SAGE would be highly desirable.
SALARY:
Basic salary up to £28,000
The position would be full time, 40 hours per week, 8 hours a day.
