An experienced Financial Controller is required by a market leading and growing company in the manufacturing industry to lead and develop their finance function. The successful candidate will have experience within an export manufacturing environment and will have an all-encompassing role as part of a global operation. Reporting into the senior management team this position will have a focus on developing and implementing strategy across the business to ensure company profitability and growth.

This is a superb opportunity to develop and grow an established team within a fast-paced environment. Any commodities experience would be very useful.

Location – Rochdale

Salary – up to £55,000

What you will be doing:

• Leading and management of the accounting function and team
• Monthly management accounts
• Support and development of business and finance strategy alongside the directors
• Responsibility of group cash flows
• Forecasting and budgeting
• Payroll
• Ensure that key business risks are controlled i.e. FX, LME etc…

What you will need:

• Experience of managing an accounting function within a manufacturing and export environment
• Good knowledge of foreign currencies
• Proven exposure to leading and developing accounting functions and teams
• ERP systems experience, ideally SAP or SAP B1
• Sage payroll or similar
• Relevant accountancy qualification – ACCA, CIMA or similar

Nice to have but not essential:

• Metal commodities experience
