CV Screen is currently recruiting an experienced Accountant to join a highly regarded Chartered Accountancy Practice based in Leeds. The role is hybrid where you will be required you to be in the office for around 3 days per week.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled and committed Accountant to become part of this flourishing practice, where you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional financial services to a diverse range of clients. Your proficiency in financial record management, tax return preparation, and audit procedures will greatly contribute to the growth and success of our clients' businesses.

ROLE OVERVIEW
Your role as an Accountant will be to provide support for Managers and Directors in providing professional accountancy services to fee-paying clients. The services can include financial reporting, taxation, and audit. You will join a growing practice of 14 staff with a fantastic reputation for developing their staff.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

-          Prepare sets of Financial Statuary Accounts with minimal supervision.

-          Calculate the corporation tax due including good working knowledge of capital allowances.

-          Solve problem areas in accounting including reconciliations of VAT.

-          Take on ad hoc projects such as cash flow statements and projections.

-          Assist clients in management accounts preparation.

REQUIRED SKILLS

-          Previous experience in an Accounting Practice

-          AAT / ACA / ACCA Part Qual or Qualified or QBE

-          Good IT skills, including experience of using different accounting packages or systems such as Xero and IRIS.

-          Confident communicator, able to liaise with colleagues and clients at all levels.

-          Good working knowledge of VAT and Personal Taxation and ability to prepare a self-assessment tax return.

SALARY
Basic salary up to £35,000
