A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Transport Planner to join a growing logistics business based in Newcastle upon Tyne. Offering a salary of £36,000 plus an excellent benefits package, this role is ideal for someone looking to make an impact in a fast-paced, service-driven logistics environment.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Plan and allocate outbound deliveries across a fleet of vehicles operating nationwide
- Liaise with customers to understand and fulfil transport requirements
- Use logistics software to manage and update transport schedules
- Monitor performance and ensure timely and cost-effective delivery execution
- Collaborate with drivers and warehousing staff to resolve logistical challenges
What Experience is Required
- Previous experience in a transport planning or logistics coordination role
- Strong communication skills and the ability to stay calm under pressure
- Proficiency with routing tools (e.g., Google Maps) and Microsoft Excel
