Assistant Accountant - Gravesend

Duties & Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit VAT returns, ensuring compliance with current regulations.

• Manage client accounts, including bank reconciliations and financial reporting.

• Assist in preparing accounts up to the trial balance stage.

• Communicate with clients and HMRC on various financial matters.

• Provide support for the day-to-day operations of the practice.

What Experience is Required?

• A strong background in accounting, with a good understanding of VAT and the Construction Industry Scheme (CIS).

• Experience using accounting software such as Xero, Sage, or QuickBooks.

• Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.

This is an office-based role located in Gravesend. It is easily commutable from surrounding areas such as Rochester, Dartford, Sittingbourne, and Maidstone.
