IT Support Engineer – Azure / VMware

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an IT Support Engineer with Azure and VMware expertise to join a growing infrastructure team based in Manchester. Working for a well-established organisation specialising in secure data and information management services, you’ll support critical IT systems across multiple sites. This is a fantastic chance to work in a fast-paced, enterprise environment, contributing to the stability, performance and ongoing development of both on-premise and cloud-based infrastructure.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Support, maintain and improve multi-site IT infrastructure across on-prem and cloud environments
• Manage and optimise Windows Servers, Azure services, VMware platforms and storage systems
• Respond to incidents and escalations to minimise downtime and business disruption
• Ensure systems are secure, patched and operating efficiently
• Maintain documentation and manage support tickets in line with service standards

What Experience is Required

• At least 5 years’ experience in enterprise-level infrastructure support
• Strong knowledge of Azure, VMware, Windows Server and excellent understanding and experience managing Active Directory
• SAN and storage management experience
• Understanding of disaster recovery, high availability and business continuity planning

Manchester – commutable from Stockport, Salford, Bolton, Oldham, Rochdale and Warrington.
