The Opportunity

CV Screen is recruiting for a Semi Senior Accountant to join a highly respected and growing accountancy practice based in Swindon. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse portfolio of clients, including owner-managed businesses, partnerships, charities and individuals, providing a wide range of accounting and taxation services. Duties & Responsibilities

  • Prepare year-end accounts for a broad range of clients, including sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
  • Complete corporation tax, personal tax and VAT returns, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and deadlines.
  • Review bookkeeping records and support clients with accounting software and financial queries.
  • Liaise with HMRC regarding submissions, correspondence and client matters.
  • Assist with workflow management, client advisory work and more complex accounting assignments as required.

What Experience is Required?

  • AAT qualified or ACA/ACCA part-qualified, with at least 2 years of accountancy practice experience.
  • Strong knowledge of accounts preparation, taxation, VAT and bookkeeping.
  • Experience using accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks or Sage.

Salary & Benefits

Based in Swindon, this role is commutable from Cirencester, Marlborough, Chippenham, Royal Wootton Bassett, Wantage, Calne and North Wiltshire.
