Assistant Accountant
Taunton
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000

An exciting opportunity is available for a motivated professional to join a Finance team based in Taunton.  In the role, you'll work closely with the Finance Manager to support management accounts, maintain records and provide financial insight to support decision-making and continuous improvement. This is a fully office based role in Taunton.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts.
• Post journals, accruals and prepayments.
• Complete balance sheet reconciliations.
• Maintain fixed asset registers.
• Monitor budgets and investigate variances.
• Produce financial reports and analysis.
• Support payroll and year-end processes.
  
  

What Experience is Required

• Part-qualified ACCA, CIMA or ACA is preferable. 
• Management accounts experience.
• Strong bookkeeping knowledge.
• Good understanding of accounting principles.
• Strong Excel skills.
• Xero or similar software experience.
