Introduction
CV Screen is recruiting for an experienced Credit Controller to join a well-established and growing organisation based in Tipton. This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially focused credit professional to manage high-value strategic accounts and build strong relationships with senior stakeholders. Our client is a long-established, family-run business operating across the utilities and civil engineering sectors, with more than 40 years of industry experience and significant growth over the past decade. The role is 100% office based and offers a salary of £40,000 plus an excellent benefits package.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Take ownership of high-value strategic customer accounts, driving timely payment and effective debt resolution.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with senior internal and external stakeholders, including directors and key account contacts.
- Lead regular debt reviews, producing relevant reports, presentations and KPI information to support commercial discussions.
- Analyse complex account data, reconciliations and trends, identifying issues and implementing appropriate actions.
- Work closely with commercial and service teams to resolve queries, complaints and processes that may impact successful debt collection.
What Experience is Required
- Proven experience in a Credit Controller or similar strategic debt management role, ideally handling high-value commercial accounts.
- Strong knowledge of UK accounting practices, with advanced Excel skills and experience using financial systems such as SAGE.
- Excellent communication, analytical and relationship-building skills, with the ability to manage senior stakeholders and multiple priorities.

The role is based in Tipton and is commutable from Dudley, Wednesbury, West Bromwich, Wolverhampton, Birmingham, Oldbury, Smethwick and Halesowen.
