Finance Manager

Salary to £50,000
CV Screen is delighted to be recruiting a Finance Manager for a well-established international manufacturer of logistics and materials-handling equipment based in West Bromwich. The role pays up to £50,000 plus benefits. It's a fantastic opportunity for an experienced, AAT-qualified finance professional to take ownership of the finance function in an office-based role, reporting directly to the Managing Director. You'll oversee day-to-day accounting, reporting and forecasting, and shape the processes and controls behind the business's future plans. It's an excellent next step for someone who wants real responsibility and influence.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day accounting, including month-end journals, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations
- Produce monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports, and present your performance analysis to management
- Lead annual budgeting and rolling cash flow forecasts, keeping a close eye on working capital
- Manage VAT submissions and payments, and be the main contact for the group, auditors and external accountant
- Improve accounting processes, internal controls and financial policies
What Experience is Required
- Qualified to full AAT level (or equivalent), with strong technical accounting knowledge
- Confident with Sage and advanced Excel, with solid experience of purchase and sales ledger, management accounts and VAT
- Highly accurate and organised, able to work independently to deadlines and deal confidently with auditors

The salary is up to £50,000, plus:

The role is office based, Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm.

West Bromwich, an easy commute from Birmingham, Wolverhampton, Walsall, Dudley, Oldbury, Wednesbury, Smethwick and Sutton Coldfield.
