Group Financial Controller

CV Screen is delighted to be recruiting an experienced Group Financial Controller for a rapidly growing, multi-site group in Milton Keynes. This office-based role pays up to £75,000 and is a fantastic opportunity to take day-to-day ownership of a group finance function. You’ll report directly to the CFO and lead a small accounts team, making sure the business always has accurate, timely financial information and strong controls in place. It’s a hands-on role for someone who enjoys leading a team and getting into the detail. The business is fast-moving and entrepreneurial, and you’ll have real scope to shape how finance supports its growth.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Own the monthly group management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet and cash-flow reporting by company, site and contract
• Lead and develop two Accounts Assistants, overseeing payables, receivables, credit control, payment runs and intercompany reconciliations
• Keep close watch on daily cash, prepare rolling cash-flow forecasts and give the CFO what they need for funding decisions
• Work with the CFO on budgets, forecasts and financial modelling for new contracts and investments
• Strengthen financial controls, coordinate audit, VAT and tax work, and drive automation and future system improvements
  
  

What Experience is Required

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified, or a highly experienced Financial Controller who is qualified by experience
• A strong track record of producing management accounts to tight deadlines and managing AP, AR and credit control
• Experience supervising junior finance staff, strong Excel skills and the ability to explain figures clearly to managers outside finance
  
  

Salary & Benefits
The role pays up to £75,000, plus a company benefits package.

Location
The role is office based in Milton Keynes. It’s an easy commute from Bletchley, Newport Pagnell, Leighton Buzzard, Bedford, Northampton and Buckingham.
