National Account Manager - FMCG

£60,000 to £70,000 DOE plus excellent benefits
We are looking for a Senior National Account Manager with a proven track record within FMCG industry, to join a growing seafood company based in Aberdeen.
Job Specification:
To take on a strategic role within the Sales department in order to manage and develop a retailer account. Deliver a comprehensive sales plan whilst striving to exceed sales performance levels and deliver overall growth of business.
Main Responsibilities:
- Full ownership of delivering P&L for designated retail account
- Provide specific joint business plan to achieve commercial goals
- Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities and utilise information in strategic decision making
- Prepare forecast of known activity by SKU and value
- Build relationships with buyer, category development and technical teams for each retail national account
- Maintain relationships with depot teams
- Manage service levels and portfolios
- Monitor waste levels and action accordingly
- Co-ordinate all aspects for new product launches and product de-lists
- Oversee all NPD for each retail account.
- Manage promotional activity for each account and ensure commercial sign off and operational acceptance
- Co-ordinate with on-site technical team for all technical visits and audits, you must be aware of technical requirements for each customer
- Prepare board papers to appraise the board through the Sales Director of all the activity within your accounts.
Skills and Abilities:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or Marketing relates field
- Proven track record at NAM/SrNAM level within FMCG industry
- Affinity for building and maintaining strong relationships
- Strong negotiation skills
Salary and Benefits:
- £60,000 to £70,000 per annum DOE
