CV Screen is currently seeking an experienced Software Engineer on behalf of a Guildford-based client, a renowned global leader in the field of state-of-the-art catering equipment supply and manufacturing. In this role, our client is actively looking for a highly skilled and motivated Software Engineer who possesses a robust proficiency in C++ and QT. As a Software Engineer, your pivotal responsibilities encompass the design, development, and optimization of embedded software solutions crucial to propelling our products and maintaining our competitive edge within the industry.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and rigorously test existing firmware and software associated with IoT applications.
• Conduct research on APIs/interfaces and translate findings into tangible coded software prototypes and solutions.
• Oversee software projects, fostering collaboration with third-party teams as required.
• Skillfully debug both newly written and pre-existing code.
• Contribute to and establish efficient process flows within the software development lifecycle.

Required Experience:

Candidates should possess the following experience:

• Proficiency in C++ and QT.
• Proven track record in firmware and IoT-related software development.
• Expertise in API/interface research and subsequent software implementation.
• Embedded SW design.
• Proficiency with Linux and Microsoft Windows environments.
• Experience with Docker and Git.
