Cabling Engineer

We are currently recruiting for a Cabling Engineer to join a dynamic and expanding Security Systems company. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in data cabling to take on a key role in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting data cabling infrastructure for IP monitoring systems, including CCTV, access control, and intruder alarms. Duties & Responsibilities:

• Install, terminate, and test Cat5e, Cat6, and Cat6a cabling in a variety of environments.
• Conduct site surveys to assess cabling requirements for monitoring systems.
• Install cable containment systems such as conduits, trunking, and cable trays.
• Collaborate with the project management team to ensure installations meet deadlines.
• Test and troubleshoot cable systems, ensuring proper functioning of connected devices.

What Experience is Required:

• Proven experience in data cabling installations (Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a).
• Familiarity with network infrastructure and cable management principles.
• Ability to read and interpret CAD plans and schematics.

Salary & Benefits:

• Salary of £35,000 per annum.

Location:

This role will be covering Gloucester, Swindon, Bath and Oxford areas with occassionl visits to the headoffice in Bromsgrove.
