CV Screen is delighted to be recruiting a Finance Assistant on behalf of a well-established business based in Grantham. This permanent, full-time, office-based role sits within a friendly Accounts and Payroll team and offers a varied mix of ledger work, credit control and weekly payroll processing. Paying £30,000 alongside a solid benefits package, it is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a good grounding in finance and payroll who enjoys variety and wants to play a key part in keeping a busy business running smoothly.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Processing the weekly payroll on Sage for around 60 staff, making sure everyone is paid accurately and on time
- Managing the sales and purchase ledgers day to day
- Chasing outstanding payments as part of the credit control function
- Reconciling supplier statements, and keeping the cash book up to date with weekly reconciliations
- Banking cash and cheques when required
What Experience is Required
- Previous experience in a finance, accounts or payroll role
- Hands-on experience of running payroll, ideally using Sage
- Strong attention to detail, good organisation and confidence with figures
